FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Do I need a prescription?
A prescription is necessary for us to bill your insurance
carrier. It is also helpful for us to know exactly what the
doctor wants for you. However, you are welcome to schedule
an appointment, without a prescription, for an evaluation
by one of our Orthotists or Prosthetist.
2. How do I get to your office?
See map.
3. Can you bill my insurance?
Yes, if we are on your insurance company's provider list.
If you are unsure, please give our office a call and we will
let you know if we can bill your insurance.
4. Do I have a co-pay? What is my co-pay?
All insurances are a little different. You can either check
with your insurance carrier or we can check for you.
5. Does my insurance cover foot orthotics?
Again, all insurances are different. We will be happy to get
in touch with your insurance and verify coverage.
6. I have an HMO. Do I need a referral to come see you?
Yes, you will need an authorization from your HMO group. Your
primary care physician or specialist can request the authorization
for you to come to CCO. If you are unfamiliar with the authorization
process, please give our office a call and we can guide you
and sometimes even expedite the completion of the authorization.
7. How much will I have to pay?
Your portion of the cost associated with our services will
depend on your insurance plan. CCO bills all insurances according
to regulated Medicare rates. With this method of billing,
we are able to offer you personal and professional service
at low industry pricing.
8. Do I need an appointment, or can I just stop in?
An appointment is definitely recommended. We would hate for
you to come by without a Orthotist or Prosthetist on the premises.
We are often called out to the hospital or doctor's offices
throughout the day. With an appointment you are guaranteed
to see the correct professional for what you need.
